MCP's Management Structure
The Executive Director is responsible for the overall operation of MCP and reports to the Assistant Deputy Minister (Corporate
Services Branch) of the Department of Health and Community Services.
The Regional Director (Grand Falls-Windsor) is responsible for the day to day operation of the various sections of the Grand Falls-Windsor office, including full responsibility for Claims Operations and administrative support for Systems and Public Services. The Director of Medical Services interprets and advises MCP executive personnel on medical matters and acts as liaison between MCP and the medical profession. The Director keeps the profession informed of amendments to the Medical Care Plan, and arranges instruction, where necessary, for physicians and their staff in correct billing procedures. The Assistant Director of Medical Services participates in these functions under the direction of the Director of Medical Services and also functions as the Medical Consultant to the Department of Health and Community Services' Audit Division. Physicians are free to contact the Director of Medical Services or the Assistant Director of Medical Services on any matter concerning MCP. The Director of Dental Services interprets and advises MCP personnel on dental matters and acts as liaison between MCP and the dental profession. The Director keeps the profession informed of amendments to the Dental Health Plan, and arranges instruction, where necessary, for dentists and their staff in correct billing procedures. |
