The primary mandate of the Legislative and Regulatory Affairs Division is to provide administrative and advisory support services to the Department in matters pertaining to legislation, regulation and by-laws, the legislative agenda of the House of Assembly and legal affairs generally. The Division has the primary responsibility of working with self-regulated health professions with respect to interpretation, evaluation, and development/amendment of their legislation, regulations and by-laws. The Division also has management and operational responsibilities in the areas oF records management and access to information and protection of privacy.
