Legislative & Regulatory Affairs Division

The primary mandate of the Legislative and Regulatory Affairs Division is to provide administrative and advisory support services to the Department in matters pertaining to legislation, regulation and by-laws, the legislative agenda of the House of Assembly and legal affairs generally. The Division has the primary responsibility of working with self-regulated health professions with respect to interpretation, evaluation, and development/amendment of their legislation, regulations and by-laws. The Division also has management and operational responsibilities in the areas oF records management and access to information and protection of privacy. The Division provides a central point of contact for the Office of the Citizen’s Representative
