TRANS -- MCP Communications Software for Providers

TRANS is a communications software package that allows providers to connect their computer, via telephone line and modem, to MCP's server to send and receive files. TRANS is required to submit claims electronically to MCP, and is used in conjunction with a billing software package (MCP's TeleClaim or a vendor supplied package). TRANS is provided free of charge.

  • Password security
  • Confirmation messages for file transfers
  • A transmission log which lists all files successfully transceived with MCP. The log may be printed if the user wishes.
  • The option to add and send specific files to MCP
  • The display of authorized providers for the software package
  • Used in conjunction with Windows dial up networking

Minimum Requirements:

  • PC running a supported Windows operating system (see Versions section below)
  • 56K dial-up modem and analog phone line
  • 100 MB free hard drive space
  • CD-ROM drive to install software

Versions:

  • TRANS 1.0 - For use with Windows XP, Windows Server 2000/2003, Windows 2000, Windows 98, Windows ME (not recommended)
  • TRANS 2.0 - For use with Windows Vista, Windows 7, Windows Server 2008, Windows 8

Providers who wish to submit claims electronically must complete and submit an Electronic Billing Application PDF (41 KB). An Electronic Billing Application must be completed and submitted for every billing location.
