Low Income Drug Program (version française)

The Newfoundland and Labrador Prescription Drug Program (NLPDP) has been expanded to provide improved access to prescription drugs for low income residents throughout the province.The NLPDP Low Income Drug Program, will come into effect on January 31, 2007 and will provide assistance to individuals and families with low incomes who do not have access to prescription drug coverage and who need help paying for their prescription medications.

The program is available for families with children (18 and under) with annual incomes of $30,000 or less, couples (without children) with annual incomes of $21,000 or less and single individuals with annual incomes of $19,000 or less. In order to launch the program on January 31, 2007, Government is accepting applications now. Application forms and information sheets are being mailed to all households in the province during the month of December. You can also obtain the application form below. The form can be mailed or faxed to the NLPDP office via the contact information at the bottom of the page:
