MCP has developed its own claims preparation and reconciliation software, TeleClaim, that allows providers to electronically prepare claims for medical and dental services. This includes Medical In-Province, Medical Out-of-Province, Radiology, Surgical Dental, Dental Claims and with TeleClaim 5.0, Alternate Billing Claims and Turn-Around Documents (TADs).

TeleClaim can be used either on a stand alone micro computer or in a network environment. Because of the diversity of network environments, we recommend you seek the assistance of a computer professional for installation and support.

TeleClaim must be used in conjunction with MCPConnect (MCPSUBSYS), a claims file transmission software package. TeleClaim, MCPConnect, and MCPSUBSYS are provided free of charge.

TeleClaim performs limited edit checks on the data entered for each claim. It is the responsibility of the user to ensure that claims are correct.

It is recommended that providers obtain both hardware and software support from a reputable firm. It is also recommended that users have some training and/or experience in working with computers. (I.e. Windows Explorer, copying a file from a diskette, etc ...)

MCP will provide TeleClaim support by telephone, however we do not supply hardware support or software support for other software packages, or from problems resulting from machine errors or operating environments.  It is recommended that users have access to an email system. This will help speed up any required support from MCP.

* For a multi-user environment, a peer-to-peer, high volume of claims and etc... we recommend you have more than 100 MB free hard drive space and more than 32 MB RAM.

Providers who wish to submit claims electronically must complete and submit an Electronic Billing Application.  An Electronic Billing Application must be completed and submitted for every billing location.
